Concepting, Design

Summary

I collaborated on this logo with fellow Designer & Art Director Kiley Mabry. The overall goal was to try and capture the nostalgia, essence, feel of the 1930's colonial period. An attempt to represent classic, American golf. The feather alone went through many iterations & revisions.

Summary

The identity for a conceptual brewery that would cater to first-time beer drinkers and haters alike. The style and feel towards the identity & branding was designed with a nod towards 50's and 60's pop culture. Though this was a student project, the packaging I created to tie in with this logo went on to win a 2008 American Design Award. 1st Place.

Identity/Wordmark Development

Roles

Concepting, Art Direction, Design

Summary

After various internal rounds of naming within the agency, I was tasked with creating a typographic wordmark to represent the Agency's first foray into social blogging with a bog theme I concepted, designed, and coded on the Tumblr platform.

"Notes From the Napkin" is a creative reference to the sometimes unconventional concepting process our industry goes through. There was a bit of a simple, clean retro style throughout; a bold, condensed sans-serif typeface paired with a strong, classic slab-serif.

Summary

The official logo for Fort Worth's 2011 Cowtown Ball. This year's theme? "Cowtown Showdown". Going with a high noon feel, had to include pistols. And I mean come on. We live in Texas. We all ride horses and carry pistols. Right?

Summary

Glamorous Green Gatherings is an event planning business focused on the planet, and going green. The company would partner with local NJ establishments (restaurants, halls, wineries, etch) who serve fresh, local foods and beverages. A light & creamy color palette, friendly lowercase logotype, and simple leaf sets the atmosphere. This identity set is a company proposal commissioned to me by a client based in New Jersey.

Project

Identity/Icon development

Concepting, Design

Summary

The logo was commissioned for a 2011 March wedding between Joshua Smith and Whitney Shropshire. The only stipulation from the couple was to &play off& the coincidence of their last names both beginning with an 'S'. I decided then to have some fun with negative space here. Surprisingly enough, I went through quite a few concepts before I got to this point.
